Timeline

Ongoing

CouchTimes marks my initial venture into the indie iOS development world. Launched on the App Store in May 2023, CouchTimes fulfills the need for a simplified and user-friendly TV show tracking app, precisely the kind I've always envisioned. Developed entirely in Swift and SwiftUI, this project has served as an invaluable learning experience.

The library provides diverse perspectives and methods to organize your current watchlist and catalog of past shows. It serves as a central hub for a seamless and personalized TV show tracking experience.
Show detail views have two primary areas: The episodes tab focuses on all the episodes of a show, while the information tab presents additional information about the show or cast.
The search is simplified to its essence, but it also comes with a quick and straightforward way to access the full catalog of popular streaming services or networks efficiently.

Achievements

The launch and initial months of CouchTimes unfolded as a success. Since its release on May 5, 2023, CouchTimes has reached over 15,000 downloads from the App Store as of August 2024. Its remarkable reception extends to recognition and features from prominent German tech outlets.

Furthermore, CouchTimes also received recognition from the App Store editorial team and occasionally ranked in the Top 10 of the Entertainment category in the German App Store.

This is just a glimpse of CouchTimes and its origins. I am actively working on this project and have significant plans for its future. If you're interested, feel free to download CouchTimes from the App Store for free.
